Below please find a summary of the key highlights from our February Board of Education meeting ( short agenda ):

• Mrs. Gross presented an overview  of the many activities in support of our four district goals ( Update Presentation )

1. Improve student achievement.
2. Improve the quality of the teaching and learning process.
3. Support the implementation of PARCC.
4. Engage the school community to be more involved in the educational process.

• Mrs. Dacosta reported on 6th grade preparation for the transition to middle school, including MAP testing at WE and having the WE guidance counselors visit Noecker
• Mrs. Dacosta highlighted the success of online report cards, meeting with teachers for their Student Growth Objectives (SGOs), and upcoming 5th/6th grade Science Fair next week
• Mr. Goldstein provided a Finance Committee update – budget planning has begun for the 2015-2016 school year
• Mr. Goldstein provided a Negotiations Committee update – the negotiations process with the Roseland Education Association (REA) is underway, with the first meeting last night
• The Board approved

• The next regular Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2014 at 7:30pm in the Noecker Media Center
