I cannot believe October is right around the corner! The chilly mornings are a reminder that time waits for no one. As we continue teaching and learning, teachers and students have been hard at work at Noecker. Continue reading for more details!
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Teachers across all subject areas have incorporated social-emotional learning (SEL) into their instruction. Here are just a few examples:

“Getting to Know You" activities

"First Day Jitters" book and poem

Morning greeting of choice before entering the classroom

Guided imagery or meditations throughout the day to either calm or energize

Positive affirmations to begin the day

Yoga poses and breath work

Emotions charades

SMART Goals for the beginning of the year

Outdoor tech-free brain breaks

STEM challenges that focus on patience, perseverance, and sportsmanship
Hispanic Heritage Month
In their World Language classes students are learning about Hispanic Heritage Month and its significance.
Prominent figures are highlighted and discussed to recognize the contributions of Hispanic Americans to society.
Week of Respect
During the Week of Respect (October 3rd - October 7th), Noecker will continue to promote the Big 4 Noecker
Norms via dress up and themed days. Please see below and we look forward to 100 percent participation:
