#LotsOfSocks & World Down Syndrome Day Updates - We are down to the wire for our sock donations and the Noecker community has not disappointed! We have collected almost 500 pairs and still have one more day! Thank you to everyone for all of your donations - a final count and donation update will be forthcoming following the end of the month. Thank you!
Looking Ahead - The month of April is Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month and here at Noecker, we will be recognizing this through a series of knowledge growing, and engaging, activities for students planned by our Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month Teacher Committee. The following flier outlines the activities we have planned. Please note, this Friday (April 1st) is a Noecker Spirit Day to kick off our month of activities.
Current Sixth Grade Families - In collaboration with the West Essex Child Study Team, case managers for current sixth grade families will be in touch to continue coordinating transition planning meetings for the move up to the middle school.
Extended School Year - As mentioned in last week’s Wednesday notification, case managers are beginning the process of recommending students for the Extended School Year (ESY) program within the context of an IEP meeting. If you have questions, do not hesitate to reach out to them directly. Eligibility is determined annually, based on the individual student’s progress and need. If your child is eligible, an email with class and schedule information will be forthcoming later in the year as we are just getting the planning underway. The program details mirror the Summer Enrichment Program, and will run Monday-Thursday from July 6, 2022 - July 28, 2022 (no program on Fridays).
