A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal
In addition to Noecker Cares spirit days, we capped off last week with our Author visit. Livingston author Mike Marborough visited Noecker to share his experiences as a published author and illustrator. Students were treated to interactive digital art demonstrations and “Q&A” sessions. It was a fun-filled day and we hope that it inspired our next generation of Noecker authors and illustrators.
Manners to Go
As part of our Manners to Go lessons, students are learning about the importance of greeting one another. They learned that it is a polite form of communication whereby we display good will and courtesy. Next week students will be learning about the importance of introductions and how to start conversations to establish connections.
Gifted & Talented
Earlier today Noecker hosted the Essex County G&T Totally Global event! Fourth and fifth grade Gifted & Talented students from Essex Fells, Irvington, Cedar Grove, and Roseland were split into 16 mixed-district teams. They were tasked with solving various social studies-related problems like naming presidents, longitude and latitude, state capitals, famous landmarks and much more! Our 6th grade G&T students guided each group by providing the directions, offering support, and checking answers. Here are the results: On the 3rd place team our 5th grader, Nicholas Trupia, on the 2nd place team our 4th grader Soleil Bryan, and on the 1st place team 5th grader Zoe Rodrigues. Congratulations to our students and thank you to Ms. Clarke for hosting another great event!
