A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal
We are one week away from the winter break; the days seem to be flying! This week we kicked off Spirit Week and we’re glad to have so much participation and school spirit. The Grinch found out that we were having Grinch Day and decided to make an appearance to greet everyone as they arrived at school today! Don’t forget that tomorrow is Flannel Day and Friday is Pajama Day!
Message from Mrs. Chartoff & Ms. Buccelli
Spirit Week is in full swing and the kids are having a blast! Our Noecker Cares Officers have worked hard to choose and present their passions. Please consider donating to Give Kids the World using our special school link to show support to our Caring Officer Declan and this amazing cause: https://give.gktw.org/NoeckerCares
Arrival and Dismissal Update
Please be aware that we will be updating our arrival and dismissal procedures. We have had much success with our system, but changes will be made to accommodate new factors such as inclement weather. Please be on the lookout for a separate e-blast. We thank you in advance for your continued and anticipated support.
A Note from Deanne Somers, Superintendent
Reminder that a Roseland Board of Education Meeting is scheduled onsite at Noecker School for Thursday, December 16th at 7:30 PM. Dr. Haber will be presenting the updated Demographic Study. Closed Session is scheduled. Please follow all safety guidelines if attending in person. If unable to attend, you may Zoom In and Listen . Public comment is limited to those onsite. The January 6th Meeting includes the annual Reorganization Meeting followed by a Regular Board Meeting.
Sending sincerest appreciation to our exiting Board Members ~ Scott Gorman, who has served on the Board of Education for six years, and the last two as Board President, and to Corby Murano, who has served the last two years. Thank you for your service to the Roseland School District!
Board of Education volunteers are just that! Volunteers. Each member spends significant time preparing for committees and meetings, and regularly provides feedback, asks questions, and evaluates decisions through the eyes of the community. It is only with their support, dedication, and partnership that our district has continued to grow and thrive. We wish you both the best! You’ll be missed!
Inclusivity Update
As you’re likely aware, we are nearing the end of Trimester 1 and our first Inclusivity Unit: Identity. Our Inclusivity Committee has been meeting regularly, reflecting, and actively building units for Trimester 2: Diversity and Trimester 3: Justice and Action. Teaching Slides will be shared after the Winter Recess and prior to implementation of Trimester 2 texts and activities. The beautiful books we are using for Trimester 2: Diversity are:
