A Note from Deanne Somers, Superintendent
What a treat it was on Monday to see fuller classrooms and our A, B, AM, PM, and returning remote students ALL at Noecker School on the same day! It truly felt like the first day of school! Thank you all for your patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm! We are all so grateful for “normal.”
The Roseland Board of Education’s Final Budget Presentation and Regular Board of Education meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, April 29th at 7:30 PM. Please click here for directions . You may also review the March Board of Education Presentation for the Preliminary Budget Presentation (begins on slide 32); there were no changes from the preliminary to the final budget.
A Note from Raul Sandoval, Principal
As I made my way around the classrooms this week, I was amazed at how well students have settled into the new schedule. Students were participating in morning meeting and greeting one another. They were sharing their project ideas and playing online math games as a class. Today especially, I saw students focused and engaged across all grade levels. This leads me to the following: Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week . I want to take a moment to acknowledge all of our amazing teachers and staff. In a year filled with challenge and uncertainty, they continue to provide a safe and caring learning environment for our students. I am sure we can all think back to our childhoods and remember at least one teacher or staff member that made a difference. I believe that we have many of those types of individuals at Noecker. Next week, let’s honor them and recognize their role in shaping the lives of our children.
Arrival & Dismissal have been improving each day! If you have not already done so, please take a moment to review our procedures. We want to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

A Note from Rich Celebre, Supervisor of Special Services
As we conclude our Autism Acceptance Month this week, I want to once again acknowledge and thank the teachers and students for the amount of time and thoughtfulness they all put into the activities and conversations over the past few weeks. As I mentioned last week, students participated in developing responses to conversation prompts around sensory integration and communication . This week, as a culminating event, we will be running our annual Autism Acceptance Walk during our PE classes with Mr. Megaro and Mr. Mitchell. Also, students will be watching the following video , which was recommended to us by our SEPAC Parent Council, and discussing their takeaways from the activities and the month as a whole.
