Anti-Bullying Statement

Everyone at the Lester C. Noecker School recognizes that students have the right to feel safe, secure, and respected when they come to school. Everyone in the school community has the right to feel free from any threat of bullying or harassment. For that reason, we prohibit harassment against students or adults in school, including harassment based on real or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender (including gender identity and expression), and to prohibit discrimination based on these same characteristics.

We strongly encourage students to report incidents to a school staff member, and pledge to create an environment where students can do so without fear of retaliation. It is necessary that we, as members of the Roseland School District community, adhere to the anti-bullying policy proactively, fairly and consistently.

Upon an incident being reported, the district’s school safety team will take appropriate steps to respond quickly and decisively to student reports of bullying. Students may use the Report of Harassment/Bullying Form to report incidents of bullying. Copies of this form will be located in each classroom and the main office, or by clicking here.
